How you can dive deep into your mind
Therapy.
It costs too much.
Not only that, but you have to leave the comfort of your home and drive somewhere who knows how long.
I’ll be honest though.
I’ve never actually had therapy before.
I’m sure it’s great, and it serves its purpose.
But before we chase that rabbit, I wanna share my favorite form of therapy.
This form of therapy only requires your thoughts, a pen and a blank piece of paper.
You can do this anywhere.
And don’t worry about the mistakes.
This style of writing is going to get ugly anyway.
It’s a writing process known as brain dumping.
Yeah, it’s not the fanciest of names, but it works.
How I like to start is by sitting in silence.
No music.
No beats.
Just me, my thoughts, and a quiet room.
Next, I’ll ask myself deep thought-provoking questions.
Some questions I ask myself are:
“Are you still having fun doing this thing? If not, what can we do differently?”
“Why are you afraid of doing that thing? Is that an underlying insecurity?”
“Why do you do what you do? What are you wanting to accomplish with this?”
Once I have my questions noted down, the fun begins.
The last step is to answer those questions and jolt down everything that comes to your mind.
There’s only one catch.
Be raw with it.
Don’t be mr. nice guy.
We’re diving deep into our mind.
The more raw you get, the more you’ll find out about yourself.
After you’re done, reflect on everything you just poured out.
And take action accordingly.
Anyway, that’s all I wanted to share with ya’ll today.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a blessed rest of your day.
Your brother,
Alex “brain dump” Garcia out.
P.S
I made a free checklist that’s 3 items long, that’ll help you train your focus.
It’s what I use every day.
You can check that out here.
