Shock the system
Having a routine is great.
They keep you on track and help you stay consistent.
What more could you ask for?
Well, about 3 weeks ago, I went to Wyoming for the first time.
My family and I went to go see my sister and two of my other cousins graduate from bible college.
We ended up in the small town of Jackson Hole.
And lemme just say this.
If you haven’t been before, I highly recommend it.
I got to marvel at God’s creations.
And If you take a trip over there, just make sure it’s closer to the summer because they got some serious snow storms.
After the long 13 hour drive, when we got to Wyoming, it was a complete shock to my system.
Why?
Because I live on the Oregon coast.
I’m used to having the beach as my backyard.
It’s the total opposite of Wyoming.
So, what does me going to Wyoming have to do with routines?
Well, sometimes we get so caught up in our mundane routine that we forget to be present in the things we do every day.
And sometimes we even stick with the same old same old.
We leave no room for new experiences.
Sometimes you just gotta do something outside of your normal routine to shock the system.
This shock is exactly what you need sometimes to be fully present in the things you do every day.
Anyway, that’s all I got for ya today.
I hope you enjoy some of these pictures from my trip.
Until next time my brothers and sisters…
