You've got gold in your home

Do you journal?

If not, I encourage it.

I’ve been on this mission to tell more stories in my writing.

But the problem I kept running into was that anytime I sat down to write a story, my brain would just fart.

Nada enchilada.

I couldn’t come up with any.

But then I remembered something.

I have a journal full of stories from the past.

But that’s only because I started journaling.

And today I wanna share my first journal entry with ya’ll.

August 10th, 2023 - Entry #1

I have officially gone into even more debt.

As if trying to pay $36K of a car that’s high wore off 2 days after I bought it wasn’t bad enough, try adding another $5K to that.

I don’t know how this will go.

I bought a course called “Growth Ghost.”

I couldn’t afford the full $7.1K payment, so I had to do a 3 month payment plan.

What do I have to lose at this point?

I have my trust in the LORD.

This decision changed my life.

I fell in love with writing after I made this insane investment.

And I’ve been writing ever since.

So, if you ever run out of ideas for stuff to write about, look in your journal because you’ll find gold in there.

It’s how I got the idea to write this email lol.

Your journal is gold because the writing is raw and real.

And being vulnerable is what makes people be able to relate to you.

But this email would’ve never reached you if I hadn’t started journaling.

So, I’ll say it one last time.

Start journaling.

It’ll change your life.

I know it’s changed mine.

If you don’t know how to journal, I wrote a LinkedIn post sharing my easy journaling method.

You can click here to give it a quick skim.

Thanks for reading and have a blessed day.

It’s your brother Alex signing out.

Peace.
